The Prepared Kitchen
Food Shopping and Storage
by Sally Strackbein

Shopping for your family for emergency preparedness can be overwhelming if you try to do it all at once. Take it one step at a time. Look at some of the recipes and buy the ingredients for them. If you are satisfied, then buy larger quantities.

Don't worry about finding places for everything before you shop. You will be amazed at how ingenious you will become at finding good places to stash your cans. If you have small children, let them help you put your food away. They will think of things you have forgotten to buy and they will find places for everything, if you let them.
